Mega Ran

Teacher, Rapper, Hero, DJ, Author, Father….We’re running out of titles. After spending the time during the pandemic expanding his family as a foster parent and innovating his approach, Mega Ran continues to lead the pack with an astonishing body of work and tireless touring schedule. while keeping an eye on the horizon for what’s next.

Since we last had Mega Ran, he had his music in WWE, AEW, Clerks III and several top game releases (TMNT Shredder’s Revenge, River City Girls 2). Mega Ran is so influential within our community, that without him there is no Ongaku Overdrive. Once again, it is an honor to have Ran rock with us.

Ben Briggs is a full-time musician, entertainer, and DJ with over a decade of experience; widely known for remixing video game music. s the co-owner of Tiny Waves and a veteran contributor to the chiptune & video game music scene, he has quickly become a key influencer in the industry with countless successful events and music releases.

Beloved for his electronic dance music with strong chiptune influence, Ben Briggs delivers a high-energy performance full of positive energy and LOTS of dancing. Dedicated to “making the fun happen”, Ben believes it is his purpose to remove people from the stress of their daily lives with music.

Bitforce is a superhero metal trio from San Antonio, TX. You’ve seen them across the country on multiple tours and on the main stage at your favorite conventions. Their high energy live shows range from video game classics, hits from anime and TV, to their own original works. These nerdcore knights bring the heavy and the fun to every stage they hit. They’ve killed it before on Virtua Ongaku and we are hyped to have Bitforce at our 10th Anniversary Show!

Trash Burger has come a long way since their first-ever show at ONGAKU 20XX last year, and with members who were also a part of Random Encounter and Under Polaris, they are a big part of Ongaku Overdrive’s history. Trash Burger mashes video games of yore and other nostalgia into a stream-of-consciousness auditory feast! They not only play tracks beloved by the video game music community, but also dig deep into the musty VGM archives. Share in the love of games and rock music. Go on, do it. Take bite of the Trash Burger!

Scarlet & Violet – String Player Gamer and Tiggs

Scarlet and Violet is the combination of musicians String Player Gamer and Tiggs, known for their unique blend of classical and contemporary styles. Both these performers were a big part of our Virtua Ongaku online concerts as well as this year’s Super MAGFest!

String Player Gamer has made a name for himself on YouTube and Twitch for his distinct blend of classical violin and video game music production, as well as soundtrack compositions such as Netflix’s Amo, and Survivor Philippines GMA.

Tiggs is a versatile singer and audio engineer who has collaborated with various artists in the pop and electronic music scenes, and sang for or worked on multiple game soundtracks including Ambition; a Minuet in Power, Arknights, and Lost Soul Aside.
