Hey homies! We hope you have all been doing as well as possible during this time.

It’s been over three months since our last event, ONGAKU 20XX. Due to the spread of COVID-19, all the acts we work with or would work with have lost all the gigs they would have had during the spring and summer. We at Ongaku Overdrive had plans to have Orlando Overdrive V on June 6th in Orlando, but unfortunately we had to indefinitely postpone it. We have other plans for live events we will have to put aside for now and make the most of this situation.

It is unknown when it will be responsible to run or attend concerts again, but a lot of musicians are taking their talents online with live performance streams. We have seen what has worked and what hasn’t, and have done a lot of research and planning. With that in mind, we are excited to announce that we will be doing online concerts of our own, starting with Virtua Ongaku on June 27th, 2020!

This event will be streamed live on our Twitch channel and possibly on Facebook. “Doors” will open at 6:30pm EST and music will start at 7:00pm EST. We have four amazing and distinct acts for this first outing that have all performed at our past events. That lineup will be revealed Monday evening.

Acts will be paid by fan donations and sponsorships. The more fans donate, the more our acts will get paid! There will also be a prize raffle that fans will enter when they donate. Details for that will come out next week.

Virtua Ongaku will be a way for us to entertain all of you and  help out many artists get the chance to perform live in front of fans, with social distancing we still need, and earn money while doing it. The plan is to do these online concerts monthly for the foreseeable future.
