Last year, Ongaku Overdrive brought you Mega Mania: Celebrating 30 Years of the Blue Bomber. It was an amazing time and our first sold out event. To follow that up, we are excited to announce Power, Wisdom, and Courage: A Tribute to Zelda. This event will take place on November 17th, 2018 at The Abbey, located in downtown Orlando by the iconic Lake Eola.

Like Mega Mania, the Power, Wisdom, and Courage event will feature video game setups, contests, raffles, themed cocktails, artists, vendors, and of course music. It will be a full-on celebration of one of video game’s most beloved franchises. The Abbey will be our biggest venue to date for an event and we plan to have a lot of fun.

Interested artists and vendors who would like to purchase a table for the event, can fill out our application. It will close at the end of October 8th.

Fans are wondering who we will have for musical acts. We will announce one each week, starting RIGHT NOW with the returning heroes Bit Brigade!

Like we would do this event without Bit Brigade. Hailing from Athens, GA, Bit Brigade performs rock covers of full NES soundtracks as their gamer, Noah McCarthy, speedruns them live on stage. Bit Brigade has played everywhere from PAX to MAGfest, and they have performed Metroid and Mega Man 2 at our past events. This time, they will of course be performing the original Legend of Zelda! Bit Brigade offers a audio and visual assault on the senses that you can only experience live.

We mentioned we have contests. There will be a $100 cash prize costume contest, a Zelda-themed “Name that Tune,” a Legend of Zelda NES Speedrun Race, a Mario Kart 8 DX tournament, and a Super Smash bros for WiiU Tournament. That’s a lot of stuff!
