Ongaku Overdrive’s NEXGEN is LIVE!
Ongaku Overdrive, who has brought you Mega Mania: Celebrating 30 Years of the Blue Bomber and Orlando Overdrive, presents a brand new event to fans of nerd music! NEXGEN showcases the next generation of our community’s brightest stars.
NEXGEN takes places on Saturday, July 14th at The Geek Easy, located at 114 S. Semoran BLVD, Winter Park, FL 32792. Tickets will be $10 in advance, $13 at the door. In addition to music, there will be game setups, prize raffles, and drink specials.
Last week, we announced None Like Joshua, Wreck the System, LEX the Lexicon Artist. But we aren’t done yet! We’ll get to that in a second, but first…
LEX’s Raging Ego out now!
The first full-length album from LEX the Lexicon Artist is out now! Raging Ego is on Bandcamp, Spotify, and where ever great music is allowed to exist. It’s gotten rave reviews everywhere and LEX has appeared on Schaffer the Darklord’s Epic Piecast, GeekBeatRadio, and Radio Free Nerdcore to talk about the album and her road the becoming the hottest thing in nerdcore today.
What we’re trying to say is, if you have been sleeping on LEX the Lexicon Artist, it’s time to wake up!
Who do you want to see at NEXGEN?
Now it’s your turn to decide who is NEXGEN. We put up a poll for our Supporter-Vania/Level 2 (and higher) Patrons to decide which act from Central Florida they want to see on the show. There are 12 acts to choose from, that have been around for several years and ready to go to the next level.
