After more than a long, grueling year – and plenty of fun Twitch parties – Ongaku Overdrive is back to live shows in ORLANDO this Summer! We have missed seeing you guys very much, and we are going to party hard on July 11th at Soundbar in downtown Orlando, Florida.
“The Whims of Fate” will be a Persona-flavored event, with live video game and anime music, game setups, Persona-inspired cocktails, prize raffles, and cosplay.

Musical Lineup
Lacey Johnson
Lacey Johnson is a newcomer in the VGM Community, but is already making waves. She produces weekly video game covers on her YouTube channel where she is the sole musician, arranger, and engineer. Whether she’s playing her arrangements of music from Persona, Devil May Cry, Jojo’s Bizarre Advnture, or Final Fantasy, Lacey always looks like she’s having an absolute blast. Her exuberance is infectious, and it’s easy to see why so many people enjoy her music. This “Keytar Kween” often performs solo sets on Twitch as well as live shows.
dj-Jo
dj-Jo has made his mark on the YouTube community with his hard hitting, melody driven arrangements of popular anime and video game franchises such as Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, The Legend of Zelda, and Undertale. His live shows are high-energy spectacles, even on stream, where he performs his music on stage with his trusty keytar.
O_Super
O_Super is an Orlando-based nerdcore emcee who draws influence from hip hop, jazz, lofi, and golden age video games. O_Super has been performing as an independent Artist, and is also the musical director for CEO Gaming, producing and releasing the yearly collaborative CEO Original Soundtrack since 2013. O_Super’s first album Songs for Saga, is coming soon!
GG CAT
GG CAT is a funk/fusion/pop band based out of Orlando, FL that plays video game music live. GG CAT plays all of the biggest hits, from beloved Nintendo franchises like Super Mario and Pokemon, to incredible PlayStation exclusives like Persona and brilliant PC titles like Portal. Most recently, GG CAT performed at Orlando Fringe and this will be their Ongaku Overdrive debut!
Ben Briggs
Ben Briggs is a full-time musician, entertainer, and DJ with over a decade of experience; widely known for remixing video game music. s the co-owner of Tiny Waves and a veteran contributor to the chiptune & video game music scene, he has quickly become a key influencer in the industry with countless successful events and music releases. Beloved for his electronic dance music with strong chiptune influence, he delivers a high-energy performance full of positive energy and LOTS of dancing. Dedicated to “making the fun happen”, Ben believes it is his purpose to remove people from the stress of their daily lives with music.

Persona-Inspired Cocktails
Soundbar’s bartenders will be mixing and serving Persona-inspired cocktails during the night. Details to come closer to the event. Please drink responsibly.
Game Setups
Ongaku Overdrive will have a mix of classic mini consoles and modern consoles set up for casual play! We’ll have controllers as well. Please treat our equipment with respect and don’t hog the games if people are waiting to play.
Prize Raffle
There will be a variety of prizes raffled off during the night. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the Ongaku Overdrive merch table. Prizes include passes to Free Play Florida, Retro Game Treasure boxes, and more to be announced.

Soundbar is musical landmark in the heart of Downtown Orlando. The home of live music and a good drink any night of the week, Soundbar is a multi-fascinated venue, with full stage sound and lighting for live music performances.
Parking
Downtown Orlando offers a variety of parking options. On-street meter parking is free on Sundays. The closest parking garages to Soundbar are 55W Garage on 60 W. Pine St. Orlando, FL 32801 and Plaza Garage on 127 South Orange Ave. Orlando, FL, 32803. There are various private lots to park at as well. Parking rates range from $5 to $10.
