Code of Conduct

We pride Ongaku Overdrive on being a safe place, where everybody from all walks of life are welcome, to celebrate the music and culture of video games, anime, and related fandoms. Even so, certain kinds of offensive or harassing behavior are not tolerated.

Ongaku Overdrive has been lucky to not have incidents at our events and we plan to keep it that way. We will continue to ensure that with this Code of Conduct that we expect all event staff, performers, guests, and attendees to completely follow. Ongaku Overdrive’s Code of Conduct will evolve over time, so please check back here before our next event.

  • All event attendees will be wristbanded for admission and expected to keep their wristbands on for the duration of the event.
  • Disparaging or hateful remarks of any type, including, but not limited to a person’s: sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, color, religion, national origin, age, political affiliation, or gaming platform preference, will not be tolerated. Be excellent to one another.
  • Physical violence or threats of physical violence will not be tolerated and will be cause for immediate expulsion.
  • Sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, or unwelcome physical attentions, will not be tolerated.
  • It is very important that if you are being harassed or are in any way endangered, you let Onagku Overdrive staff know immediately. We cannot address anything that we are not made aware of and we need whatever detail can be provided, such as names or other descriptive information.
  • As an attendee of our events, if you see someone harassed or taking inappropriate photos (where the target of the photo is unaware), we encourage you to speak up and say something. As a community, we need to come together, look out for one another, and make sure everyone is treated with respect.
  • There is absolutely no illegal drug use or smoking of any kind tolerated on premises of our events.
  • We are not responsible for mediating any interpersonal problems that arose between individual attendees outside of our events.
  • Outside events wanting to promote their events at our event must clear it with Ongaku Overdrive ahead of time and follow our stipulations. Any unauthorized promotion materials at our events will be removed. Please feel free to contact us about sponsorship opportunities.

We expect all attendees to follow these policies to ensure to our events can be a fun and safe experience for everyone involved.
