Musical Lineup
Super Guitar Bros
The Super Guitar Bros aren’t actually brothers – They’re Bros! Steve combines his acoustic guitar skills with Sam’s classical guitar skills to create an acoustic duo unlike any you’ve heard before. Seriously. We’ve have THE BROS on our Metroid and Zelda themed shows in Orlando, FL, and we’re excited to hear their acoustic renditions of your favorite video game music!
Ro Panuganti
Ro Panuganti is a Progressive Rock and Metal Musician, recording and self-producing video game and movie theme covers, as well as original works. He is best known for producing concept albums based on Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Undertale as well as producing hundreds of music videos on his Youtube Channel. Ro primarily plays electric guitar while sharing a love of bass, piano, voice, sitar, and works to produce eclectic exciting works. He also enjoys video games, videography, and cooking.
EyeQ
EyeQ has played from everywhere from PAX to MAGFest and is the first nerdcore hip hop artist to perform at the Library of Congress. He also founded Bytes & Beats, a tour that blends anime and hip hop at major conventions such as Otakon and MomoCon. EyeQ’s musical stylings come from the soul, and while he broke out with an Attack on Titan EP named Walls of Maria, he is currently working on an Anita Baker tribute in the form of three EPs. Live and Love are out now.
Lauren the Flute
Lauren Liebowitz, aka Lauren the Flute, has been part of the VGM scene as a flutist and vocalist since 2010. She leads The Returners, an Austin-based video game cover band that has performed at PAX Prime, PAX South, MAGFest, and of course our Warriors of Light event. She also records solo covers and has contributed to numerous collaborative projects in the VGM community over the years. When not performing or recording music, Lauren the Flute spends her time baking cakes, telling stories, and streaming on Twitch. Lauren also holds an MFA in creative writing and has even published a few short stories.
Ian Martyn
Ian has been playing music since he was young. Inspired by his elementary school music teacher, an ethnomusicologist, he started to play music by leaving Final Fantasy VI running in the background and playing along to the game on the piano. He has since learned several other instruments over the years including bass, bodhrán, bouzouki, smallpipes, and concertina. He has spent a large part of his life studying Irish traditional music. Ian has been a session singer and guitarist for a number of professional recordings for movies and television. He is also a club DJ and travels frequently to perform in a variety of different venues. He received his M.A. in Ethnomusicology from UC Davis in 2013. Ian plays Irish whistles from the collection of Frealon Bibbins. Ian plays an Irish bouzouki and mandolin by Macdara Ó Faoláin.
Under Polaris
Under Polaris is a duo that shares their love of video games and metal. These good brothers, Robert and Steven, have been playing music together and have worked hard to show that there is no idea too silly, and no song too heavy! Under Polaris has become one of Orlando’s favorite acts to see live, playing all over town with the likes of Powerglove, Professor Shyguy, TWRP, and Peelander-Z. The passion these dudes show on stage is always infectious and we’re thrilled to have them back! (Photo by Vikka Leoni)
