Ongaku Overdrive proudly presents Virtua Ongaku 11, a LIVE concert stream you can see for free on our Twitch channel! Expect a fun night of video game music and other nerdy jams. Even with our return to live events, we will still have virtual concerts to showcase amazing acts you can’t see anywhere else. While the show is free to watch, we will be taking your donations to help pay the act performing on Virtua Ongaku X. When you donate, you will be entered into our prize raffle.
Musical Lineup
The Runaway Four
Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, The Runaway Four mix, match and mash the best of video game music from classic tunes to hidden gems. With over 300 songs in their repertoire they span all genres and generations, giving all gamers something to enjoy from their themed medleys, timed visuals, cosplay, and energetic performance. Since we last had them, The Runaway Four have released The Fast.
Ryako
Ryako is an Asian-American-Belgian, one-woman band based in Brugge, Belgium. She writes, produces, and performs primarily nerd-inspired electronica and hip hop music, but also enjoys blending that with other genres in order to create something different and unique. Ryako has performed for the first time at the unofficial Nerdcore Showcase at SXSW in 2019 and was the co-winner of this year’s Nerdcore VPC with Kadesh Flow.
Ben Briggs
Ben Briggs is a full-time musician, entertainer, and DJ with over a decade of experience; widely known for remixing video game music. Ben is also the co-owner of Tiny Waves and a veteran contributor to the chiptune & video game music scene, he has quickly become a key influencer in the industry with countless successful events and music releases. Beloved for his electronic dance music with strong chiptune influence, he delivers a high-energy performance full of positive energy and LOTS of dancing. Dedicated to “making the fun happen”, Ben believes it is his purpose to remove people from the stress of their daily lives with music.
Ohm-I
Ohm-I is known for his music that primarily focuses on storytelling and comedy from a nerdy perspective. He is a ten year Navy veteran and current professional hacker with a strong penchant for causing you to involuntarily dance and sing along. Ohm-I has performed events such at PAX West/South, Otakon, MomoCon, DEF CON, and SXSW. In addition to bringing you BARS, Ohm-I heavily supports spreading awareness of information security careers to kids in underrepresented communities.
Trash Burger
It’s a new VGM band from Orlando making their show debut at Virtua Ongaku 11! Trash Burger mashes video games of yore and other nostalgia into a stream-of-consciousness auditory feast! Ashlea, Brian, Stevie (from Under Polaris) and David (from Random Encounter, Select Start) not only play tracks beloved by the video game music community, but also dig deep into the musty VGM archives – whatever makes them happy. Share in the love of games and rock music. Go on, do it. Take bite of the Trash Burger.

Prize Raffle
There will be a raffle around 11:15pm, after the final act. There will be six (6) drawings and each of those winners will be contacted by us. Prizes will include albums from the Bandcamps of the Virtua Ongaku 11 acts, some cool items from our prize stash, and more. For every $5 donated to the event, will be an entry into the raffle. So if someone donates $25, that will be FIVE raffle entries! These donations will help pay the acts performing.
