Hot off the heels of Ongaku ALL NIGHT at Anime Festival Orlando, Ongaku Overdrive proudly presents Hopes and Dreams: Celebrating Ten Years of Undertale. That’s right, the very beloved indie RPG, made by Toby Fox, will be the theme of our next event, and it will be quite the show.
Taking place on Saturday, August 23rd at Conduit in Winter Park, FL. Hopes and Dreams will celebrate the music of Undertale, Deltarune, and more with live performances including the FLORIDA DEBUT video game shredmaster FamilyJules.
Yes, that FamilyJules.
FamilyJules is a guitarist best known for his video game music guitar arrangements on his channel at YouTube, which now has over 500K subscribers. The sick shreds of Jules led him be on the soundtracks of games like Crypt of the NecroDancer, Cadence of Hyrule, and Infernax.
We recently got to collaborate with Zeldathon for for a charity stream for LA Wildfire Relief and Jules helped us get to $7500 during his audience-influenced performance. Absolutely incredible. We are very excited to have Jules on a live Ongaku Overdrive show in our neck of the woods. But that’s not all!
No stranger to Ongaku Overdrive is Lame Genie, these lads from Rhode Island have been GOING HARDER on YouTube every week with powerful new video game covers. Their live show includes plenty of audience participation, as we saw at Free Play Florida, they will have you screaming for all their powerful VGM tunes. They will have plenty of Undertale and Deltarune to go around.
Of course Ben Briggs is a HUGE Undertale fan an has a remix of Tem Shop that has been listened to over 18 MILLION times. Freakin crazy. They day we decided we were doing this show, we talked to Ben while he was playing D&D with friends and he was on board.
Ben has been with us since Day Freakin 1 and he always has crowd-pleasing jams that get everyone dancing and jumping. Heck, the first release from his net label Tiny Waves was a massive Undertale album so you already know he’s ready.
Last but not least is Trash Burger, who just had a great show at AFO. They guys have been a staple of Orlando VGM since the you-know-what ended and have been playing terrific mashups of video game music with your favorite pop and metal hits. While they currently do not have an Undertale in their shows yet, they have a lot of love for RPGs like Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and LUFIA II in their mashups.
So yeah, we’re hyped for this show. It’s going to be a very celebration of the music of Undertale and Deltarune. Cosplay is encouraged. There will also be game setups, themed drinks, and prize raffles.
