On January 25th, 2024, Ongaku Overdrive starts the year hot with a show that will celebrate the upcoming anniversary of the iconic Final Fantasy VII, and look forward to the upcoming Rebirth. And we are brining back one of the most-beloved emcees in our community… Mega Ran!

Mega Ran’s “Black Materia Live” will be a live performance of the Final Fantasy VII album that turned Mega Ran from a teacher to a full-time musician.

“January 2011 is when I released the album that truly changed my life. I’d quit my job a few months later and travel the world playing songs because of it. BLACK MATERIA,” recalls Mega Ran. “And now, 13 years to the day, we get to celebrate Black Materia in the place where it first popped off! Orlando! We are back. It’s a moment. All props to Ongaku Overdrive.”

To make this performance even special, The Limit Breakers have joined the party and will be Mega Ran’s live band for the night. The Limit Breakers are a 7-piece video game music fusion rock band based in Jacksonville, FL aka DUUUVAL. We just had them at OngakuVania II and we know they are ready to back Ran.

Joining Mega Ran and The Limit Breakers will be dj-Jo, Teek Hall, and O_Super. There will also be game setups, themed drinks, and more.

Tickets for Black Materia Live are available now and the show will take place on January 25th at Conduit in Winter Park, FL. Doors open at 7pm.
