This Saturday is Super Bitfest Telethon and Kent and Brotha Kyo are hosting a panel around 5pm EST called “The Genesis of Fighting Games: 30 Years Later” We were there when it happened and reflect on that historic time.

“Arcade culture changed and the 16-bit console wars shifted in momentum when Street Fighter II: The World Warrior took over the world. Kent Ward (Ongaku Overdrive) and Brotha Kyo (Land of the Free) were there when it started and look back on the start of the fighting game boom, 30 years later.”

Super Bitfest will be live on the Bitforceband twitch channel and will feature performances from Mega Ran, Descendants of Erdrick, Star Fighter Dreams, EyeQ, Bitforce, Roshii, and more!
