Ongaku Overdrive’s NEXGEN is a month away!
Ongaku Overdrive is excited to bring Orlando the next generation of nerd music with a brand new event that will showcase the future! To kick this off, we have announced None Like Joshua, Wreck the System, and LEX the Lexicon Artist! If you have not been following those acts, you have been missing out. But that’s okay because we got you.
NEXGEN takes places on Saturday, July 14th at The Geek Easy, located at 114 S. Semoran Blvd #6, Winter Park, FL 32792, right across the street for Full Sail University. Tickets will be $10 in advance, $13 at the door. In addition to music, there will be game setups, prize raffles, and drink specials. We have announced thre great acts, but now it’s your turn to decide the next!
Who do you want to see at NEXGEN?
Now it’s your turn to decide who is NEXGEN. We put up a poll for our Supporter-Vania/Level 2 (and higher) Patrons to decide which act from Central Florida they want to see on the show. There are 12 acts to choose from, that have been around for several years and ready to go to the next level. Voting ends Saturday at noon!

Acts in this poll are Boy Without Batteries, EyeQ, Ivy Hollivana, Jackson Parodi, Mag.Lo, O_Super, Polykarp, Rhythm Bastard, Symphonic Pheenix Force, Tokyo Elvis, and VAMP. We recommend that you join us on Patreon at that the level two tier so you can decide the rest of NEXGEN’s lineup!
And for all our lovely supporters, we have a poll on which game to stream on our Twitch channel this Wednesday night. Please chime in on that. All patrons are also entered into our monthly prize raffle too! The first drawing will be June 30th. We haven’t decided on whether it should be NEXGEN tickets or merch. But we will soon!
None Like Joshua has dominated the YouTube music community with killer rap videos about video games, anime, and cartoons. His videos have millions of views, and since people are excited about Kingdom Hearts III coming out eventually, enjoy this video he’s done for it.
Kent also interviewed None Like Joshua, along with Skyblew, last fall for the Nerd Music Meltdown. Check it out here!
