NEXGEN is NEXT WEEK! Full lineup, host, and more!

Ongaku Overdrive’s NEXGEN is July 14th!

Here we go! Next week is our next event. We at Ongaku Overdrive are excited to present, NEXGEN, showcasing the future of our community on Saturday, July 14th at The Geek Easy, located at 114 S. Semoran Blvd #6, Winter Park, FL 32792, right across the street for Full Sail University. Tickets will be $10 in advance, $13 at the door. In addition to music, there will be game setups, prize raffles, and drink specials.

We have five acts that have been killing it in their young careers and are ready to go to the next level. We also have an amazing host for the night. You know him from Nerdy.FM and Discography and for being Orlando’s #1 Singer/Songwriter. That’s right, Marc with the C will be the host of the festivities!

In case you missed past updates, here is the full lineup of NEXGEN!

LEX the Lexicon Artist

LEX was born in Taipei, Taiwan and emigrated to America in 2002. She currently resides in Oakland, CA. While a newcomer to nerdcore hip hop, she got the entire scene’s attention in 2017 with her first EP, LEX is More, with songs that tell stories that address Asian-American stereotypes, sexual identity, and the general day-to-day struggles of being a nerdy Asian woman.

The buzz would land her a spot on this year’s SXSW Nerdcore Showcase and she has played numerous shows on the west coast with nerdcore’s best of the best. LEX hustles hard to not only make a name for herself, but to establish an identity for Asians in the world of hip hop. Her first full-length album, Raging Ego, released last month to critical acclaim.
